BEM Ltd have a long, solid track record of highly effective, low cost invasive species control for a wide range of plant and animal species in a variety of environments and at many scales. Our in-situ planned treatment plans have proven to be over 300% cheaper than dealing with an infestation in an emergency situation to protect people, property or processes.
We have treated isolated single stems of Japanese Knotweed that can pop up in the garden to complete eradication of 10 hectare monoculture of Himalayan Balsam and Giant Hogweed in conservation areas and development plots. We operate primarily in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Sussex, Kent and Surrey but will also work nationally.
We will undertake a site visit and create a site-specific management plan for the affected area. This plan then allows landowners to demonstrate that they are taking reasonable steps to control invasive species on their land holdings which can be an important factor in:
- Land sales
- Planning approval
- SSSI management
- Avoiding negative interactions with neighbours and enforcement bodies
Removing species such as Japanese Knotweed and Giant Hogweed are a cost effective way of safeguarding fixed assets and avoiding Health & Safety problems with staff or members of the public.
